The Story
Thomas Keller, recognized as one of America's most inventive chefs, came to The Groop with the desire to have his distinctive brand translated throughout the online experience for each of his restaurants' websites. The challenge of bridging the gap between luxury dining entities and their online presence is something few have achieved due to the difficulty of clearly conveying finessed luxury online. Thomas Keller chose us for our fresh perspective toward the restaurant industry and because we shared similar beliefs regarding quality and attention to detail.
The Results
Our design approach was representative of Thomas Keller's restaurants - Simple Elegance. In collaborating with Thomas Keller, we were able to create six individual websites immersing the user in the distinct character and charm of each restaurant.
Working closely with the client produced dynamic content and imagery that alludes to the restaurant experience so site visitors gain a sense of what it would be like to dine at one of Thomas Keller's restaurants.
Ease of use was a core guiding principle for the content management, marketing, and human resources infrastructures created for the sites. These solutions were specifically designed for chefs and people in the restaurant business, not just technology experts.
